March 2010 Scrap Class-Think Spring

These are the pages for the March 2010 Scrap Class!!  They were so much fun to make!  I hope you all like them as much as I do.  I had a lot of fun doing some hand stitching for the title.  It's a little time consuming, but totally worth the end result!





This class is $15.00 per person.  Class will be held Tuesday, March 23rd 6 pm - 8 pm AND Wednesday, March 24th 11 am - 1 pm!  Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment is required.  If you are unable to attend the class but wish to purchase a kit to assemble on your own, you may also do that.  I just ask that you call to reserve your kit so that I am certain to have enough cut! Custom Project #1 St. John's Lutheran School

I was given the task of taking these boards with the rope wrapped around and cutting out the words and some sort of decoration.  St. John's Lutheran School is having a fundraiser and needed signs for the different areas.  I got a TON of help from my dear friend Amy Heinen with cutting out all of the words for the signs AND additional words for them to use on the walls.

 Another dear friend of mine, Sanela Kubiak, was visiting from Indiana and was kind enough to attach all the words to the signs for me.  Today, I was able to take the list I made for what cut outs I wanted to dress up each of the signs, cut them out and get them attached!  Yeah!  Tomorrow I get to call my contact and let her know they are all ready to go! 

 I have yet another custom project to complete for the 5th grade class at St. John's Lutheran School.  They did some BEAUTIFUL etching on a mirror, and I need to finish decorating the center.  If THIS piece is an example of what is going to be available, you ALL need to go!  I will post more information with dates & times so that you can check it out for yourself!

Technique of the Week-March 15th-Stringing You Along!

The week of March 15th through March 19th, My Creative Clubhouse will be teaching the technique "Stringing You Along". We we create the below piece to be used on a finished card. Here is the piece after it has been matted to be used on our card.

What a nice combination of spring colors; Amethyst, Sunkiss Yellow, and Baby Pink!

And here is the finished piece! I used a new stamp set from the Spring 2010 Close To My Heart Idea Book. This stamp set is so adorable, you will want to see it in person! I guarantee it!

So, be sure to come in for this week's technique, you won't be disappointed!

ATTENTION:  My Creative Clubhouse will be CLOSED Friday, March 26th.

My youngest son, LucasJon will be going to the youth STATE wrestling tournament.  Therefore, My Creative Clubhouse will be closed Friday, March 26th.  However, it WILL be open Saturday, March 27th thanks to my sweet friend Amy Heinen!!

Thank you Amy! Hope to return from state with good news!  Top six wrestlers "place" at state.  :)

Congrats Bob & Kathy!

Had a request to make a Non-Traditional Wedding Scrapbook. The ladies who hired me helped in choosing some of the papers, some sayings, and some embellishments. This is a second wedding being held on the beaches of Jamaica! Had a blast making it, I hope Bob & Kathy love it!

Thank you Amy & Susan for allowing me to be a part of this special occassion! Oh how I LOVE what I do!!

Happy Birthday Ellie Scott!

This coming Saturday, Ellie Scott will be celebrating her birthday at My Creative Clubhouse! Ellie wanted a project that was an "Under the Sea" theme, and specifically wanted a whale and seahorse included. I had a GREAT time designing this, so I hope she and her guests have fun making these and taking them home!



I totally love the "pearl necklace" and the "gold coins" I added to the treasure chest! This was a LOT of fun to design. It is a dry erase, so the kids can write on these, and then wipe them off again!

I really enjoy the different birthday party projects I have been able to design for the birthday parties here!

Next month I have another birthday scheduled, so be watching for the Dog & Cat themed mini album!

This month, we are featurning "A Little Everything" a set of 26 stamps! There were so many possibilities with this one, I cannot wait to see everyone's art!

I created a card using our a pattern from one of our "How-To" program books "Wishes". The pattern used was "On the Edge", page 53. I also used one of the NEW paper packs from the Spring 2010 Idea Book "You Rock". These colors are so vibrant! I just love them!

I also combined my Technique of the Week, "Decorated Pretties" into this card. Dual purpose! You know what they say, "work smarter, not harder!"
