A friend of mine, Ann Crites, came to visit me at My Creative Clubhouse and showed me an adorable card that had a waving flag inside. I HAD to recreate it and use it for this month's blog hop. I had a LOT of fun creating my own random stamped paper using the stamp set, and this is what I came up with....

Stand & Salute Cricut Cartridge

The inside of this card was created with white daisy cardstock and the sky exclusive inks stamp pad using the "leathering" technique. This is a fun, easy technique I learned at one of the corporate sponsored events I have attended in the past. I then flipped my cardstock over and random stamped the different images from American Celebration using several different ink colors and a combination of 1st and 2nd generation stamping.

Kid's Summer Camp

I am sooooo excited about the upcoming Kid's Summer Camp, I cannot even BEGIN to tell you! I have been busy creating the pages for this awesome, fun camp, and wanted to give you all a sneak peek! Now, as you look at this picture, remember that this year's theme is "All About Me". Since I am using ME for my book, some of the items will be "girl" gender specific. HOWEVER, the boys will have boy gender specific pages for their books!

My "Stats"

Sorry there are not pictures on my pages, but unfortunately my baby pictures were destroyed when our basement flooded at my mom's home. I am hoping to find some pictures of my mom & dad to put on the pages, and maybe, just maybe someone in the family will find a baby picture of me! The GOOD NEWS is that this has prompted me to make sure I get similar pages done for MY children so they do not have the same issue when they are older!

Now, for the details! Kid's Summer Camp will run from Wednesday, June 22nd, through Wednesday, August 10th. We will meet once a week. Ages 8 - 12 will meet 11 am - 1 pm, ages 13 - 18 will meet 3 pm - 5 pm. Camp will cost $125.00 per child. If you pay in full no later than Friday, June 17th, you will receive an $15 discount, bringing your cost to $110.00.

What the kids will get for that money...they will get a 12" x 12" scrapbook with page protectors for their completed pages. They will make a 2 page layout each of the 8 weeks, so they will have a completed scrapbook by the end of their 8 week session. After our structured class is completed, they will have the remainder of the 2 hours to create on their own using my supplies. The kids have had SO MUCH FUN doing this the past two summers, and frankly, it was very exciting for ME to see what the kids came up with!

Space is limited, so be sure to stop by to reserve your child's place in this popular summer camp! I look forward to another fun group of kids this summer!

May Beginner's Quilling Class

The My Creative Clubhouse May Beginner's Quilling Class is right around the corner! The project shown here is a combination of the Technique of the Week (Masking) being taught for the week of Monday, May 23rd through Friday, May 27th AND the Beginner's Quilling Class project! What fun we are going to have with this!

Look at that flower! All I can think is "Boing" when I look at the adorable spirals that make up the flower petals on this one! Reminds me of my youngest stepdaughter, Lauriel. When she was younger, she had these tiny, tight little curls of hair along her hairline. You could grab ahold of them, stretch them out, and they would "boing" right back into place!

This quilling class will be held Thursday, May 26th 11 am - 1 pm OR 6 pm - 8 pm. Class is $10.00 per person, Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment is required. A class kit is recommended, but not required. The masking Technique of the Week is $5.00.

What you need to bring while visiting on "Open Clubhouse Time"...you will need to provide your own adhesives, although I do have some refills on hand for purchase, however the type is very limited. You will want to bring your pictures if you are scrapbooking, your preferred trimmer (extras on hand also), papers, stickers and whatever other "consumables" you may use in your creations.

I do have some Close To My Heart products on hand, in limited quantities, that you may purchase while here. I hope this helps to clear up what exactly "Open Clubhouse Time" is, and I hope to see many of you soon. At any given time, I am also available to assist you in learning how to use these many tools, give creative input if you wish, so long as there is not a class, workshop, etc in session. You may visit for "Open Clubhouse Time" anytime during my scheduled hours. The hours I am currently at My Creative Clubhouse are: M, W, F 10 am - 6 pm, Tu & Th 10 am - 9 pm, Sat 10 am - 3 pm (winter hours) or Sat 8 am - 3 pm (during the Downtown West Bend Farmer's Market). April Beginner's Quilling Class

Our Beginner's Quilling Class is moving along! For April, we will meet for our third class, and what a fun bunch we have! Don't worry, if you want to join in, we will get you up to speed in NO TIME!

I am very excited for the upcoming April class for a few different reasons. First off, I get to play "student" :). Second, our next class is scheduled to take place the same day as the Downtown West Bend's Spring Bling...a Diva Thing, so there will be LOTS of exciting things happening here at My Creative Clubhouse. And third....we are going to learn "combing"! Here is a sample of what we will be doing for the April class...

The wings on the humming bird, and the leaves on the stem of the flower use the combing technique. What an awesome choice for a springtime class!

Our next Beginner's Quilling Class is scheduled for Thursday, April 28th, 11 am - 1 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm. Class is $10.00 per person. Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment is required, so call ahead to reserve your space! A class kit is recommended, but not required.

April Stamp of the Month Blog hop....Wow, Already?!

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! I'm not too sure how it happens, but the time between these hops seems to fly by! I can't believe it's already time to share the VERY ELEGANT April Stamp of the Month with all of you! All of the Consultant's blogs will be featuring April's SOTM, which is "Blessed", a set of 12 beautiful stamps. If you have come here from Helen Onulak's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around, right back to where you began! This is the image of the stamp set "Blessed" that is featured this month....notice how it has base stamps, and also detailed stamps to stamp right over the base stamps!

This month we have many talented Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

As soon as I saw this stamp set, I thought "elegant" or "classic". So, I cannot wait to see what all of the other Consultants have come up with. I created this 7" x 5" card after I chose a pattern from the Originals Card Confidence Program....

Boy, this sure didn't photograph well. The center pieces are base stamped in black ink, heat set, and then embossed with silver embossing powder for the outlines. On top of the shiney silver embossing, I added the Licorice Opaque Adhesive Gems to add some "bling".

Oh, and shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone, but do you see the flourish type stamping under the tiny opaques on the Bliss patterned paper? Well, I cut apart the stamp that has the long stem with the flower outline at the top so that I could use the stem "flourish" for more of a background stamp, and then used the larger opaques to make my own flower...and you know what the best part is? I can lay the CUT stamps out on a block, right next to each other and stamp all over again and NOBODY will be able to tell by looking at the stamped image that I cut the stamp itself apart.....is that great, or what? I REALLY love the versatility of the Close To My Heart My Acrylix Stamps! Ok, maybe we shouldn't keep this little trick a secret?!?!

Beginner's Quilling Classes...Did I do that?!

My Creative Clubhouse's second Beginner's Quilling Class was held last week Thursday, March 24th. I think I have said this before, but I LOVE this class because I get to be the STUDENT! Yep, my dear friend, Candy Schopp (pronounced "shop" and yes, that's her real name) teaches this class, and I get to learn...whew whoooo!

The very first class, we learned the basics on how to make circles, both tight & loose, and how to take those circles and make different shapes out of them. This time around, we practiced more circles, and even learned how to make hearts (my favorite) and swirls....if you can believe this, after only two classes, I made this super cute picture mat!

These are not the best pictures in the world, and it's kind of hard to see the deep red & green on the black background...but in real life, it looks awesome! I can't wait to find the perfect picture to put into this mat. I think I will try to find a nice picture of my two boys together, I think that would finish out this very well!

As some of you already know, my baby sister delivered twin girls at 26 weeks gestation. I am happy to say that they are two weeks old today, and doing incredibly well! Unfortunately, they actually came before we had a chance to have her baby shower!

Since I enjoy so many different creative things, I am sharing some items with you that have been created here at My Creative Clubhouse...besides the cards, scrapbook pages, and other paper craft things you are use to seeing. I made these cute mini diaper cakes for my sister's shower to use as centerpieces on the tables.

I REALLY like these two. I made on blonde and one brunette since the girls have different colored hair. We know London's hair is a very blonde blonde (if that makes sense), and Dakota's hair is a little darker.

When I made the cakes, I made some with preemie diapers, some with newborn, so I also made little heart tags to attach so that my sister knows which cakes are what sizes.

These are 2 of my favorites!

And, of course, we just couldn't leave my nephew Diesel out of all of the excitement. He is SO PROUD to be a big brother, that his Auntie Tammy just HAD to make him his own t-shirt to parade around in! So, here is the front of the shirt. I'm not happy with how transparent the babies are on this darker shirt, so I know in the future to use a thicker material, or a lighter shirt. BUT Diesel loves blue, so blue it is!

I am VERY excited to announce that beginning the week of March 21, 2011, I will be extending my hours at My Creative Clubhouse!!

That's right, MORE of what you have been asking for! Beginning Tuesday, March 22nd, the hours at My Creative Clubhouse will be extended from the current hours of 5:30 pm - 9 pm, and I will begin opening at 10 am! Yep, even MORE opportunity for you to "hang out" at "A Place to Create & Connect"!

So, beginning Monday, March 21st, the hours at My Creative Clubhouse will be as follows:

M, W, F 10 am - 6 pm

Tu & Th 10 am - 9 pm

Sat 10 am - 3 pm (Winter Hours, November thru May)

March Scrap Class/Kit For Sale

MARCH scrap class is all created! Below you will find the two page 12" x 12" layout designed for the March 2011 scrap class here at My Creative Clubhouse! This class will be held Thursday, March 17th. You may choose from two class times : 11am - 1 pm OR 6 pm - 8 pm. The cost of this class is $15.00 per layout. You will need to pre-register, pre-pay. If you are not able to attend class, you may also purchase the pre-cut, pre-stamped pieces to assemble on your own.

Quilling Class FUN!

Here at My Creative Clubhouse, we held our very first Quilling Class on Thursday, February 17th. What a GREAT group of ladies we had, and I was so excited to get to play "STUDENT"! It has been quite some time since I have played the student roll, and it was so nice. I got to enjoy everyone on a different level, wow, how rewarding that was!

I am SUPER excited to announce that beginning Thursday, February 17th, the LONG AWAITED beginner Quilling classes will start! That's right, those of you who frequent My Creative Clubhouse know that this has been in the works for some time now!

Do YOU want to be able to create GORGEOUS cards, pages, mats for photos and so much more? Want to create things that look like THIS?

We will begin by learning the BASICS of twirling, curling, swooping, and shaping our way through the basics...to soon being able to put the basics of quilling together to make outstanding creations!

You will need to purchase a starter kit with me prior to classes beginning. The Beginner Kit comes with everything you will need to learn the art of quilling! It includes all the essentials such as a circle sizer ruler, slotted tool, needle tool, fine-tip tweezers, 1/8" quilling paper and instructions. Everything is stored in a handy double-sided storage box. This complete kit is $31.63 with sales tax included.

I need to receive payment for your kit no later than Friday, February 11th. Each class will cost $10.00. Classes will be held monthly. Below is the class schedule, all classes will be held 11 am - 1 pm OR 6 pm to 8 pm. Class time will include instruction & time to work on what you have learned!

February Scrap Class/Kit, "Bee Mine"

Wow, I can't believe it is February already...I have been very busy trying to get things really rocking at My Creative Clubhouse, having a baby shower for my oldest step daughter, and now welcoming our beautiful granddaughter, Isabella Marie! Isabella is actually the focus of the February pages. I hope you all enjoy them!

This class will be held Thursday, February 10th, 11 am - 1 pm OR 6 pm - 8 pm. If you would like to bring your pictures along to add to your pages during class, you will need (1) 4 1/2" circle (this can be cut during class), (2) 3" x 5", and (2) 3" x 4". I did need to cut one of my pictures smaller, so your pages will not include the black swirl.

Not able to attend class? You can purchase this kit to assemble on your own for the same price as taking the class, $15.00 per kit. Not interested in putting these pages together yourself? I can complete the pages for you for $20.00 per kit. All you will need to do is add your pictures and your journaling.

Pre-Registration, Pre-Payment is required to reserve your space/kit. Again, $15.00 per kit if you are attending class or wish to assemble on your own but cannot make it to class. $20.00 if you would like a completed kit!

I used three different stamp from this set on my card. I used one to make a random stamping on the background, the sentiment, and then used masking to stamp the largest damask over my sentiment. Will be making more things with this great set for sure!

I used the Originals Card Confidence Program as my basis for this card. I decided on the Three Elements pattern on page 18. I LOVE our "How To" Programs!

My lastest creative attempt...

My oldest stepdaughter, Lacy, is blessing us with a granddaughter soon. I had the pleasure of throwing her a baby shower back on December 5th. I wanted to share with all of you what I created for her.

This is her diaper baby. I am very pleased with how she turned out, especially since this was my first ever made! It was a lot of fun choosing the outfit, and teaching myself how to make them! I also made her a diaper cake, which was also a lot of fun! The diaper baby I made in size 1 diapers, and the cake in size 2.

I am very excited and can't WAIT to meet our precious granddaughter, Isabella Marie!

Christmas Book Workshop

As the holidays draw near, we have been creating away here at My Creative Clubhouse. Many of you saw the Christmas Book at our Open House, Diva Night, and Fall Fest and have asked when we will be teaching this. Well, it is scheduled!! For those of you that have not seen the book in person, here is a little teaser!

This book was created by my awesome friend and downline, Vickie Tagatz! Way to go Vickie! The customers LOVE IT! I have to tell you all that Vickie was very nervous taking on this book, but didn't she do an AWESOME job?!? I think so!

This workshop will be held Saturday, December 11th, 10 am - 2 pm. The cost is $25.00. You must Pre-Register and Pre-Pay for this workshop no later than Wednesday, November 24th so that I can order all of the supplies! Great way to get your holiday pictures into a themed mini book!

Mix 'N Mingle Workshop

The first is a punch card for CLUBHOUSE HOURS! Yep, the $5.00 per hour "Clubhouse Time" that I offer ANYTIME My Creative Clubhouse is open! You come in to work on your own projects and use the multitude of tools I have to share with all of you! You get a 6 foot table ALL to yourself, the use of ALL non-consumables...over 900 My Acrylix Stamp Sets, wood stamp sets, many cutting devices such as Cuttlebug with embossing folders and dies, many Nestabilites, punches, THREE ink towers filled with 60 ink colors with coordinating markers....and did I mention TWO Cricut Expression Machines with well over 100 Cricut Cartridges!!

Which leads me to the second punch card! Currently, the Cricut Cartridges can be rented for $10.00 for a 24 hour period. NOW, rent 5 cartridges and you have two options for your FREE (6th) rental. You may keep the cartridge you rent for your 5th for an extra 24 hour period, OR you may use it to get a 6th cartridge rental for FREE! You will receive a punch for each 24 hour period you rent for! TIPS: I used the Glitz Stardust Glitter Glue on the furry areas of Santa's outfit, and the snowflake patters on the strips of paper at the top of the page. The Liquid Applique was used for Santa's beard & moustache! Remember when using Liquid Applique not to over heat it if you are using a heat gun for more "puff" or it will turn it brown!! This month, I am introducing you to LOTS of new products you will find in the Close To My Heart Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book....

To create the main image and the sentiment, I used the VersaMark glue pad and chalks, applied with a cotton ball. I then inked the edges of the cardstock. This class is going to be SO much fun! I will begin by teaching you the art of random stamping. Yes, you got it, this page was created BY ME with STAMPS! Nobody else will have a pattern paper exactly like mine because they cannot go buy it ANYWHERE! How awesome is that? Think of the possibilities, of how unique YOUR pages can be by learning this extremely versatile technique!

We will then take our beautiful random stamped paper (this was painful for me to have to cut it) and create this gorgeous two page 12x12 layout. I don't know about you, but I LOVE the autumn colors! They are soothing to me. In this layout, we will have room for five pictures, AND...

HIDDEN journaling! That's right, we will also use this gorgeous stamp set to create a "pull" for our hidden journaling! This sunflower will be the "pull" to reveal out personal thoughts about the pictures we show on this layout. Let me walk you through step by step on how to create this layout.

When: Thursday, August 19th, 11 am - 1 pm OR 6 pm - 8 pm

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

WELCOME to this month's Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We are featuring Something Splendid, a set of 13 images and sentiments. If you have arrived here from Beth Nauman's Blog, you are on the right track!! I have to say, as much as I LOVE sunflowers, I wasn't sure where to begin. So, I started by random stamping! This page turned out so beautiful that I didn't want to cut it! At this point, I knew I had to do something, so I closed one eye (needed to make sure my cuts were right so I had to leave an eye open) and began cutting.

Boy, am I HAPPY I took that chance because I created THESE pages with that random stamped sheet...I am extremely pleased with how they turned out. I do have to say that the Autumn color pallette is my favorite, hands down. Now to dig out photos to put on here, and I know EXACTLY which ones I will be looking for (yes, I STILL need to organize my photos pre-scrapbooking addiction).

In the spirit of the new How-To Book "Magic" being released for sale in the upcoming Fall/Winter Idea Book, I even made a place for hidden journaling! See how I used the stamped image as the "pull"! Oh yeah! Did I mention I'm extremely happy with how these turned out? Hehehe.....

Giving a sneak peek at a new product coming out next month, I have taken the piece of the random stamped sheet that I had left after making the above pages, and created a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" clear acrylic card! We had the pleasure of playing with these at the 2010 Close To My Heart Convention in DC earlier this month! These are great, can't wait to showcase them at my Fall Festival Open House...

Kid's Stamp Camp COMING SOON!

This year, I will be running TWO sessions of Kid's Stamp Camp.

Session One will be for ages 8-12. It will be held on Wednesdays from Noon to 2 pm beginning Wednesday, June 30th and running through Wednesday, August 25th. There will be NO CLASS on Wednesday, July 7th.

Session Two will be for ages 13-18. It will be held on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm beginning Wednesday, June 30th and running through Wednesday, August 25th. There will be NO CLASS on Wednesday, July 7th.

This year's format will be different. We will be making 9" x 9" pages that will go into an actual 9" x 9" My Legacy Linen Album, that will be covered with an album protector. The color choices are either Black or Dark Cocoa.

Cost is as follows:

To reserve your child's space you will need to pay $40.00 minimum by Monday, June 21st. This will cover the album, album cover, pages and supplies for the first week of class. Each week after must be paid in advance at a rate of $10.00 per week. The total cost for the 8 week camp would be $110.00 per child.

If the full camp fee is paid up front, you will receive one week FREE bringing the cost to $100.00 per child. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. March 2010 Scrap Class-Think Spring

These are the pages for the March 2010 Scrap Class!! They were so much fun to make! I hope you all like them as much as I do. I had a lot of fun doing some hand stitching for the title. It's a little time consuming, but totally worth the end result!

This class is $15.00 per person. Class will be held Tuesday, March 23rd 6 pm - 8 pm AND Wednesday, March 24th 11 am - 1 pm! Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment is required. If you are unable to attend the class but wish to purchase a kit to assemble on your own, you may also do that. I just ask that you call to reserve your kit so that I am certain to have enough cut! Custom Project #1 St. John's Lutheran School

I was given the task of taking these boards with the rope wrapped around and cutting out the words and some sort of decoration. St. John's Lutheran School is having a fundraiser and needed signs for the different areas. I got a TON of help from my dear friend Amy Heinen with cutting out all of the words for the signs AND additional words for them to use on the walls.

Another dear friend of mine, Sanela Kubiak, was visiting from Indiana and was kind enough to attach all the words to the signs for me. Today, I was able to take the list I made for what cut outs I wanted to dress up each of the signs, cut them out and get them attached! Yeah! Tomorrow I get to call my contact and let her know they are all ready to go!

I have yet another custom project to complete for the 5th grade class at St. John's Lutheran School. They did some BEAUTIFUL etching on a mirror, and I need to finish decorating the center. If THIS piece is an example of what is going to be available, you ALL need to go! I will post more information with dates & times so that you can check it out for yourself!

Technique of the Week-March 15th-Stringing You Along!

The week of March 15th through March 19th, My Creative Clubhouse will be teaching the technique "Stringing You Along". We we create the below piece to be used on a finished card. Here is the piece after it has been matted to be used on our card.

What a nice combination of spring colors; Amethyst, Sunkiss Yellow, and Baby Pink!

And here is the finished piece! I used a new stamp set from the Spring 2010 Close To My Heart Idea Book. This stamp set is so adorable, you will want to see it in person! I guarantee it!
